What Dabi is

Dabi is a marketplace where people and companies in Kenya list vehicles for rent and for sale, and find drivers, mechanics and garages. Dabi is not a party to any rental, sale or job. The agreement is always between the members involved.

• Dabi doesn’t handle money between members. Rental charges, deposits and purchase prices are paid directly between you; Dabi only records the figures you agree.
• Dabi doesn’t resolve disputes between members. If you disagree with another member, you settle it between yourselves or through the usual legal channels.
• Dabi doesn’t insure, guarantee or inspect vehicles. Insurance and compliance details are shown as the owner declared or as verified, and verification badges say only what was checked.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older and give accurate details.
• One person, one account. Keep your password private; you are responsible for what happens on your account.
• Once verified, your phone number is shown partly hidden where members contact you (your profile, driver or mechanic page, and listing contact boxes), and logged-in members can see it in full; your email is shown the same way only if you turn it on. You can hide either in Settings.
• You can download your data or close your account at any time in Settings › Your data. See the Privacy Policy.

Listings, bookings and offers

• List only vehicles you own or are authorised to rent or sell, and describe them accurately, including their insurance and compliance status.
• The terms in force when a booking is confirmed are recorded on the booking; later edits to the listing don’t change an agreed booking.
• The owner marks a vehicle picked up. Either side can mark it returned; the owner confirms the return, or marks it returned directly.
• Offers on vehicles for sale, and their acceptance or rejection, are recorded with their dates so both sides have the same record.

Reviews

Reviews come from real bookings and recorded work, and must be honest and about the experience. Dabi may hide or remove reviews that break these terms; ratings and badges are earned and can’t be bought.

Subscriptions and adverts

Listing subscriptions and adverts are the only things Dabi charges for. Adverts are labelled as sponsored and never change ratings or badges. Where Dabi doesn’t deliver an advert you paid for, you receive ad credit as described when you buy it.

What you must not do

• Post false, misleading or stolen listings, documents or reviews.
• Use another person’s identity or documents, or open accounts to get around a suspension.
• Collect members’ contact details in bulk, or use them for anything other than the deal you contacted them about.
• Interfere with the site’s security or operation.

Dabi may remove content, pause listings, or suspend accounts that break these terms, and will tell you the reason.
